What a nightmare. I admire your patience. Best bet might be to continue drilling out; the big issue will be making sure that you are drilling square to the hole. I think you are going to have to remove the head.

Would removing the forks give you more room? Heat may be an idea but you do not want to soften things up

Get quality drill bits and persevere with drilling the studs out taking the engine out is just going to unearth more rusty bolts

yeah i think pulling out the head would help you with the work, i hope you pull those rusted bolts out

That’s a handy bit of kit if you’re carrying multiple things like you do, for us it’s only the bike part we’d use. Nice review tho, glad to see you’re still keeping fit 🤣

my friend owns a Black Akita 125cc The Only problem he reccured where the screws being too loose (he lost one in the first 3 months of having it) and thats about it relaiability wise, it's.... ok not the best nor the worst but the 2nd gen ones are far better then the 1st gen ones

your perseverance is admirable, its because of your videos i'v decided to do a lot of maintenance be myself on my stree triple, its a very gorgeous bike but it needs a lot of care and attention, much more than e japanese bike

If there is any thread on the longer stud, try locking 2 nuts onto it and see if that works, you will more than likely need to use heat on both studs.

What a tw@t of a job. You did well to walk away from it. For future reference try welding a nut onto a stuck stud. Good luck.

Weld a nut on the stud.while it's still hot the stud should come out with the nut etc. Th one that's almost flush. Clean what's left so it's a good electrical connection. Place a nut over it and spot well it through centre of nut again when hot undue nut and stud should come out. George

Best course of action Alex, whenever you don't feel it walk away and close the door. Just take a break from the situation and give yourself time to re-energise. If you have any cutting fluid like trefoil or similar even grease every few seconds to dip drill bit in. Good luck sir 🙏

You need to use a battery drill which will fit into the gap you have you will have more control as well, as soon as I saw you using that drill I knew you would break the drill bit off it is easy to do. Use some cutting fluid / oil on the drill bit as well. You’re doing the right thing though don’t rush it.
